On the day #Putin and Trump exchanged prisoners (BTC-e bro #AlexanderVinnik for teacher Marc Fogel) someone moved ~$700 million worth of bitcoin that was last moved the week after BTC-e was shut down for money laundering 8 years ago in 2017.

IMHO someone got paid off to get Vinnik out of US custody. Whether it was #Trump and/or his negotiator / crypto partner #SteveWitkoff just taking a bribe or Putin who got paid off to ask for Vinnik we may never know.
The funds are currently just parked on chain in a new wallet.
Fun fact: BTC-e is known to have been involved in laundering money for #Russia's use in #Ukraine way back in 2015/2016, in the early #Donbas battles.

And Hamas is unlikely to accept Israel’s offer without further negotiations, acc/to Aaron David Miller, a former #State Dept #MiddleEast analyst & negotiator who is now a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. The proposal, he said, “allows Israelis to get hostages back without making reciprocal commitments.”
#Netanyahu’s office said in a stmnt that he had decided that, “as of this morning, all entry of goods & supplies into the #Gaza Strip will cease” because of “#Hamas’s refusal to accept the Witkoff outline for continuing talks, to which #Israel agreed.”
The stmnt added: “Israel will not allow a cease-fire without the release of our hostages. If Hamas continues its refusal, there will be further consequences.”
Under #Israel’s proposal for an extension, which it attributed to #Trump’s #US envoy to the region, #SteveWitkoff, half of the remaining #hostages held in #Gaza would be released to Israel on the first day of the agreement. If, at the end of the temporary extension — stretching until the end of Passover on April 20 — a permanent truce had been reached, the rest of the hostages would then be returned.
Unlike major #ForeignPolicy announcements w/past presidents, including #Trump, the notion of the #US controlling #Gaza had never been part of a public discussion before Tues.
But privately, Trump had been talking about US ownership of the enclave for wks. And his thinking had accelerated, acc/to 2 admin ofcls, after his #MiddleEast envoy, #SteveWitkoff, returned from Gaza last wk & described the horrific conditions there.
