Tonight's #FountainPens include:
Tega Pen Co Fantasy Snorkel <EF 14k Imperial> inked with Waterman's Tender Purple
TWSBI Vac 700R Iris <F> inked with Diplomat Royal Blue
Visconti Homo Sapiens Steel Age Skylight <EF 18k> inked with Monteverde Horizon Blue
My friend Cindy has a Puchico collection from Wancher. These are tiny fountain pens - half the size of regular pens. Here they are with an Edison Pearl and Kasama Una for scale.
#FPQuestion of the day:
Many of us prefer to fill our #FountainPens directly with ink rather than with a cartridge. If this is your preference, in what cases or with what pens would you use cartridges, and which do you prefer to use?

Got tired of ink sample vials falling over every time I reached for ink, so I printed a sample vial rack.
Not completely happy with it, though. Lots of stringing on the legs and they wobbled a bit as it printed the upper parts. I'm fairly certain it's the model or the print orientation (standing). It doesn't need to be pretty, though, just functional, and it's fine. Fits where I needed it to go, too. If this breaks I'll find a better one.
Here are my thoughts and comparisons of the new 2025 Lamy Inks. I hope this can help someone decide if these inks are worth adding to their ink collection. #FountainPens #Ink

Birmingham Pen Co Antique Sepia
I'm not sure what I expected with this ink. It's a lot pinker than I expected from something called "sepia". But it's a very nice multishading ink, along the lines of a darker and greyer Sailor Ink Studio 123.
Thanks @alexa488
Kasama Pens, in a partnership with Kustom Magz Creations, offers the Kasama Tala in Ultem and PEEK with Brass Filigree fountain pens at the Manila Pen Show 2025. The overlay is beautiful and was executed by metal artist Marco Kris Magallona. It is based on the Filipino creation myth of the first man and woman, Malakas (Strength) and Maganda (Beauty). I've been collecting fountain pens for a few decades. But I never use them. People throw 20-30 pens away each year with billions of them in landfill.
So this is it! I'm going disposable pen free! From now on it's a potent mix of soil AND ink under my fingernails!
Plus, of course, they are beautiful
They're appropriate technology too! I'm a sucker for something that can outlast me and be recycled.
@pgcd Hey #fountainpens help me convince my friend he is normal (see poll in OP)
Here's my entire herd of Kaweco Sport #fountainpens all together. I should get a red one to complete the rainbow!
And it came to pasta that I saw a column of light and angel hair in the air directly above my head. And behold, his noodly appendages did stretch forth mightily unto me as he spake: lo, it is finished. Put down thy damned fountain pens and ink, that ye may partake of stuffed shells Alfredo with sausage and mozzarella, for this is my flesh and thou art hungry, and the time for dinner is nigh upon thee.
Anyone in the #FountainPen #FountainPens community have a pink Kaweco Sport they'd be willing to sell? The actual pink one, not the blush pitaya.
Some thoughts on the much-maligned Parker 51 reissue (2021):
The reissue is not a bad pen, and probably wouldn't get such a bad rap if it had been called the Parker 52. But it doesn't have the hallmark features of the 51, which are the clutch cap and the hooded nib with ink collector.

I've been enjoying my pearlescent Aurora Sailor Pro Gear from Poesie Bungu lately. I have it inked with Diamine Emerald, which shades nicely with the medium fine nib. The only problem is that this ink and pen combo tends to bleed a bit on the new Tomoe River S paper in my Hobonichi Weeks. It hasn't stopped me from writing down TTRPG session notes in the back of the book though, and I'm happy to have finally found a use for all those blank pages. #FountainPens #hobonichi #stationery
Tonight's #FountainPens include
Pelikan M200 Golden Lapis <F> inked with Noodler's Cactus Green Eel
TWSBI Vac700R Iris <F> inked with Diplomat Royal Blue

Diplomat Nexus <F 14kt> inked with Diamine Icy Lilac
Didn't realize it, but all of my nibs are <F>s tonight.
#FPQuestion of the day:
Recently it has been highlighted in the news that some younger people cannot read cursive or joined-up script. What are your thoughts on this? Is this a natural evolution or is it a sign of the end times? How old does a document have to be for you to have trouble reading the script? Have you developed skills in reading any older scripts? Did #FountainPens inspire you to learn any particular scripts?
If you'd like a super relaxing twitch stream to enjoy in the afternoons, Brian Anderson of the recently closed Anderson Pens restores #FountainPens on stream. https://www.twitch.tv/thebriananderson
Day 3 of #DailyHandwriting - 10 desserts, yes I had to look up how to spell both tiramisu and crème brûlée.
No, spell check, not "crime brûlée".
