my pens came so guess it's time for the start of

diamine regency blue is from their 150th anniversary collection. i'm fussy about blues and love the swatch but it writes darker, especially on off white paper

diamine sailor's warning is the first shimmering ink i bought. with finer nibs you don't get much of the shimmer but when you do the sparkle looks both blue and pink

the swatches are made with a non branded brush pen and 250gsm round corner business cards. the writing is with a 0.5mm nib jinhao fountain pen, nothing fancy or expensive but i'm quite pleased with my new system

because i've never been normal about any of my hobbies in my life i bought the wearinguel swatch cards so my little inks look prettier, look how cute they are

it's the same regency blue ink from the earlier post but instead of a blank business the swatch is now on a white card with a little illustration of an empty ink bottle, which i've coloured in with the dark blue ink. background is still the enlarged swatch but now the whole thing is square
the same sparkly red ink with the same background as the earlier post but just like the blue ink there's now a card with a little drawing of an ink bottle printed on, which i've coloured in with the sailor's warning ink

today's swatches, jade green and tyrian purple, both from diamine. i went straight for an 80ml bottle of jade bc it's so bright and lovely!

Just one swatch today - Sapphire Blue from Diamine
It's the first blue I bought and it behaves perfectly well but i don't really like it tbh, writing a whole page in this is too bright and makes me feel like I'm doing schoolwork. Good for an accent, not my main writing ink.

Today's swatch is Summer Storm by Robert Oster. In writing it's more definitely grey and less blue than the swatch but I love how it shades and sometimes looks lilac.

Back to my regular Diamine brand loyalty today with Pumpkin. I went straight for an 80ml bottle of this bc it looked like my perfect orange ink and it is my perfect orange ink. Lovely and bright but dark enough to be perfectly legible.
I know some ppl hate orange but I simply adore it 🎃🍊🟠🧡

the background is a bright pumpkin orange ink swatch. there's a smaller swatch card in the centre with a little drawing of an ink bottle which is coloured in with the same orange ink. it says pumpkin diamine underneath

Today's ink is a shimmer from Manuscript called Red Sunset
Thrilled with how well the lighting picked up the gold, it's maybe my fave of the shimmers from this brand. It's very good imo.

Day One is Pumpkin Shimmer from Diamine (Exclusive to Cult Pens). I love orange and I love sparkles so I obv love this.
A fun excuse to practice with my dip pens.

Van Dieman's Morning Frost from their Tassie Seasons collection and Diamine Flamingo Pink 🦩🦩🦩

a swatch of a blue and lilac toned grey ink that has plenty of bright silver shimmer. underneath the swatch it says van dieman's (the brand name) which i've written with a calligraphy nib.

@paradoxmo i quite like it, i have it in a 1.1mm nib atm and the red is definitely less saturated when writing with that than this swatch shows but the shimmer's nice. i don't have celadon cat but i'm much more interested in reds than blues anyway!!

@threeofswords@godforsaken.website This really sounds like the same use case I have for all of my pens and inks. I scribble endlessly about quick brown foxes and getting my vow judged; Occasionally, I even write a useful note or list. 😆

@threeofswords Always love seeing your swatch cards! I vascillate between Pumpkin; and Peach Haze as my "trademark" go-to colors in my fave Sailor.

Mildly surprising to the viewer relative to the semi-stodgy-looking impression non-FP users have of the pen, and for whatever reason people don't complain that it's not a "legal" color for signatures.

@threeofswords I seriously can’t stop collecting the Diamines. Once I think I have enough, I discover a certain seller on eBay. They’re so damned affordable and consistent, gotta catch ‘em all.

@threeofswords I'm not a big fan of orange but I was recommended Diamine Pumpkin and I surprisingly liked it. Great ink, I love how bright and saturated it is.
