Reading the government's guidance from the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy and they have the recommendation to workers that can't avoid working closely to work in teams of "fixed partners", a sort of buddy system to reduce risk followed by the very scary cop-out "if people must work face-to-face for a sustained period with more than a small group of fixed partners, then you will need to assess whether the activity can safely go ahead." cont...

How big is this vague "small" that they're allowing and how is that remotely safe or responsible to put into guidelines that bosses can bend easily? Certainty how is it any safer than meeting people outside of your household closely for non-work related purposes?

Businesses of more than 5 people need to have a risk assessment too, they say it doesn't have to be wordy so I guess "some of you may die but that's a risk the company is willing to make" will do

There's this horrible excerpt too fucking hell: "When managing the risk of COVID-19, additional PPE beyond what you usually wear is not beneficial. This is because COVID-19 is a different type of risk to the risks you normally face in a workplace, and needs to be managed through social distancing, hygiene and fixed teams or partnering, not through the use of PPE.”
